Hit the Beach
Fall is a great time to visit a beach near Charleston because the weather is still warm and sunny, but the crowds have thinned out. The average temperature in September and October is in the mid-70s, and the water temperature is still comfortable for swimming. Also, the bugs start to die down in Fall, so you can enjoy the beach without being bothered by them.
See the City from the Sea
On a beautiful fall day, consider embarking on a sail around the harbor with the Schooner Pride, which offers afternoon dolphin sails, sunset sails, and moonlight sails. For those seeking a more active experience, you can rent kayaks and paddleboards for a self-guided tour or opt for a guided tour. Coastal Expeditions is a great place to rent or get a tour. Regardless of your preference, Charleston has a variety of options for enjoying the sea.
